Circulation is concentrated in the cities of Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Suffolk. These five cities, which comprise South Hampton Roads, are home to about two-thirds of the population of the entire Norfolk/Virginia Beach/Newport News MSA.Other areas served by The Pilot include: the city of Franklin, the counties of Isle of Wight, Southampton and Northampton in Virginia and the counties of Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Hertford, Pasquotank, and Perquimans in northeastern North Carolina.
